Re: Diet on exfoliativecheilitishelp.com
I agree with the reply above. No one is an expert. I saw a naturopath and she recommended an
Elimination Diet that included no grains. Then I got allergy testing (IgG and IgA) and now I'm simply avoiding the foods I showed sensitivity to. She also strongly recommended Vitamin B and D supplements, as well as a Silicon supplement.
You ask what you could put on bread other than eggs? Before I realized my gluten sensitivity, I would just put olive oil on whole wheat bread, or spread an avocado on it. If you aren't allergic to nuts, almond or cashew butter is great, but organic, it's very expensive. Maybe you would consider raising hens to get your eggs? I have 5 hens and 4 ducks, who lay about 7 eggs per day.
Organic coconut oil is also sadly very expensive, but stores for a very long time without going rancid and is a great natural microbicide. You can even put it on the lips directly and it melts fast and doesn't appear visible.
I think montrealhomegrown insists we avoid all chemicals in our food, your usual monosodium glutamate, sodium
benzoates artificial sweeteners (like aspartame) and corn derivitives.
As Michael Pollan says, "Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants."
