Re: "Challenge the message, not the messenger" ~ Cz creator
I believe moderation is better than litigation. An active moderator that is non-biased must be present to discern when a messenger is truly attacked and have the power to police online nonsense. When the law is involved after name calling, it's beyond comprehension how much freedom everyone else will lose due to a few, minority. It's only human nature to straw-man arguments for any number of reasons, but non-biased moderation would allow for fairness instead of extreme punishment. If there is no non-biased moderator, then there should be controls in place to allow blocking of straw-man happy people. Hate et al. cannot exist without love, you can't simply use law to "control" anger else you'd simultaneously have a fairy-tale, white-washed, happy-go lucky, fake reality.
Off topic a bit - We technically live in a fairy-tale of fiat currency already. The value of saved dollars drops over time, so retirement money becomes worth less than the original value due to inflation (a mystical beast created by gov and reserve). Save a dollar now, it will be devalued daily. If that's not stealing, then I'm living in my own false reality. Sorry to hijack the thread, but it bothers me more than name calling. I do understand where you're coming from, especially since this is supposed to be about Educating instead of Medicating. We need some unbiased moderator super-users that can patrol the forums and be reported if they misbehave with loss of super-user status if they continuously deviate from the unbiased roles.
