Does moving away help when there are bad memories?

I'm interested in hearing what others think about this issue.

Do you think that it helps to move away from an area when there are bad memories? I know that when you move, you take all your memories with you. However, when you go someplace locally and you see things that trigger bad memories, it can be difficult.

A little bit of background --- Our daughter put us through a lot of grief which culminated with her flunking out of college due to partying. In trying to find out what went wrong, I found out a lot of things that I didn't know about previously. Now, driving around the area to do errands, I will see something that triggers bad memories of those times.

Yes, I'm working on my issues---it's a slow process. Long story... I will say this---I have been working with Abraham-Hicks, thus the cross post in "law of attraction".

So---do you think that moving away from an area helps in such situations? Or do you think that it makes no difference in the long run? If you stay someplace, does time heal all wounds in the long run?
