Re: what happenned to me? - How much to drink?
The reason I am asking about water consumption is that I find it interesting how the toxins eliminated when you drink only when you're thirsty. If you don't drink enough, all the toxins trying to leave your body have to go somewhere, and if you don't drink extra water to make sure that toxins are eliminated trough your pee, does it mean that they (toxins) just recirculate in your bloodstream? I guess, I should try both ways.
Hi 109,
The toxins would continue to be excreted through your urine, just in denser concentrations than would be the case with excessive water intake. Something to be aware of is that the fasting body creates about a liter of water per day. To provide an example of how little water intake we need to consistently eliminate through the urine, I just completed a 5 day nearly rigid dry fast (meaning no baths or showers in addition to no drinking) and i was urinating about 3 times per day even at the very end. The less we drink in a fast, the more aggressively we detox and we do not need any water intake at all to eliminate, let alone large amounts of it to insure this process.
I do however believe that dry fasting (also sometimes known as "water-only fasting drinking only according to thirst, ... but since you are not thirsty you don't drink") is best reserved for the experienced and the more cleaned out, lest the toxic concentrations become too strong, though i do believe that stronger concentrations will trigger a fairly strong, persistent and deepening thirst. It follows that the more cleaned out we become, the longer we are able to fast comfortably (unthirstily) without water.
