no harm in taking them to get ahead of the curve, but you should be eating as fresh and live and raw and local as possible. organic(clean from gmos and chemicals) is a given. and eat fermented food. i like kimchi a lot. learn to make your own kombucha, kefir, sauerkraut and so on to eat on the cheap. or you can do like this guy:
