Oh thank you! I'm very glad I've looked for some support for this! I'm much older than you - 53! and yet you sound like you have found your backbone when dealing with family and friends about fasting. I admire your self-knowledge and your fasting knowledge and am looking forward to having you as a buddy! I hope my husband and mom-in-law don't try an intervention. I don't know how strong I'll be...
From what I've read about fasting so far, I've decided to work into this with lots of Celery and carrots at first. I've read that you can do damage if there is (how else can I put this?) "poo in your gut" when you start. What's your experience with starting on your fasts?
You know what? I lived in NYC when I was 27. Way back in the 80's and 90's! I loved it while I was young, but started to feel a yearning for a garden in my 30's so now I live in the boonies. I love that I can go back there now and it still feels like home. Hope you're enjoying it!
