Re: I need your help. I AM ready to change my life!
UpErMei,
as an afterthought..................
one of the best ways of self-testing for an
Iodine deficiency is to do the following...............
1. Dip a cotton ball into USP Tincture of Iodine. (You can get
Iodine tincture at any drugstore for under $1. (60p.)
2. Paint a 2
inch circle of
Iodine on your soft skin, like the inner part of your thigh or upper arm.
3. Wait. -- If the yellowish stain disappears in less than an hour; it means your body is lacking crucial iodine and has soaked it up. If the stain remains for more than four hours, you iodine levels are fine.
There are some foods classified as goitrogens that can interfere with iodine absorption and they include kale, cabbage, peanuts, soy flour, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli, kohlrabi and turnips, so avoid these for a while.
These minerals are also essential for proper thyroid function and reactivation and include: tyrosine, zinc, copper and selenium, so I would include foods that are a good source of these.
