Re: Can one be cured of hypothyroidism?

For the hypothyroidism, I was diagnosed about 7 years ago (after years of symptoms...hair loss, depression, weight gain). I had and still get basic TSH, free T3 and free T4 tests done. I also had an initial antibody test done (that I tested postive for).

Any chance that you have the antibody test results breakdown available?

I am interested in your response due to a recent post of mine: http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1902612#i

For the pcos I was diagnosed based on my very high testosterone levels (when not on bcp and spironolactone). My symptoms were over the top skin and scalp oiliness, acne, and hair loss.

I've seen your type of symptoms in other women. Is the acne localized to an area like the face or is it randomly popping up all over?

The anxiety came to a head when I started getting bad attacks.

What do you currently take for the anxiety? You're having quite common symptoms to what I've witnessed daily, BTW. Not that it's normal

I hate living like this and am taking measures to change my life. I'm just wondering if it's possible to be cured of hypothyroidism through diet, supplements, exercise, etc.

tia!

After reading the link I provided, please let me know if it was any help in answering your question. I'd like to see (or hear) that you're getting better over time and less dependent on symptom treatment with drugs (sometimes unavoidable).

Since you mentioned hypothyroidism and PCOS, I wonder if the MD diagnosed you with Hashimoto's thyroiditis. In PCOS, you've more than likely  Research seems to point to low grade infection/toxicity that requires long-term treatment to address the root of the problem. Low grade is a misnomer however, especially since it is often persistent and continues to cause problems. What's your diet like?
