Re: Lecithin causes depression?

Have you tried TMG? I was using it for other reasons but
then I read what people said on iHerb.com that they were using it for depression.

Yes, as a methyl donor the TMG will help in the production of neurotransmitters and hormones and the breakdown of excess estrogens that can suppress the thyroid leading to depression.  In the breakdown glycine is formed, which raises GABA, which is also antidepressant.

SAMe has been promoted for a while as an antidepressant.  It is also a methyl donor, but only provides one methyl group.  TMG provides three methyl groups.  During the breakdown it forms in to DMG, then SAMe and finally glycine.
