It certainly didn't describe me before I got rid of mine. I wasn't clingy, I was disgusted with not being diagnosed correctly and went off with great independence to find the solution to the problem myself - like uncounted numbers of folk on this forum.

What research is that statement based on? Did they do personality tests to determine "clinginess" before & after?
I seriously doubt it.

You can find some proofs in the book " parasite Rex" by Carl Zimmer.
But even without proofs, it makes sense... A body with too many parasites will not function with the same efficiency and will not have the same energy as a clean body.
But it is more a physiological problem than a psychological problem.
