It isn't a food issue. It is your issue.
That is why I suggest trying raw veggies/fruit for at least three weeks. Can you do it?
If you want to feel good about yourself then live your value system. Then and only then can you hold yourself in high esteem.
If you want to feel bad about yourself then don't live your values. Hence you will go through life always looking for something else, and happiness will bypass you.
Water fasting is not the solution. It becomes the solution when you figure out how to control your eating.
Water fasting is only successful if you can refeed successfully. The way you describe your problem means you are far from being successful.
Give yourself 3 weeks and see how you do. If you can successfully accomplish this task, then you can begin your water fast.
