Thanks. I've actually looked into getting an appointment with Dr. Brownstein a few months ago, but was told he isn't taking new clients. Also, just to correct my first post, the nodule that keeps growing is 4inches in diameter, not 4cm. I know I exhibit symptoms of both hyper and hypo. On one hand, I have excessive sweating, heart palpitations, anxiety, insomnia...and at the same time, I am overweight, hair loss, fatigue. I was also told that sometimes with these overactive nodules, the surrounding thyroid slows down to compensate for these hyper nodules. Which might explain the combo symptoms.

I've seen a couple endocrinologist, an immunologist, and a couple naturpaths...all with no success. Medical doc's just want to take out my thyroid and treat me for hypo for the rest of my life. I've read Dr. Brownstein even recommends surgery for toxic nodules and then follow-up treatment with iodine. I'm hoping there is another solution...but I also don't want to be so hard-headed that I allow this thing to grow to the point that it does damage to my throat or voice.
