And I did start taking the prednisone/steroid, on day 3. Sorry, but didn't get your message until it was too late. I'm not feeling drastically worse (yet), but also not feeling any better. The doctor that prescribed them was pretty confident in his view that I didn't have a fungal infection, and that the steroids would work. He just couldn't understand how a person without HIV or some other immune problem could be infected with geotrichum. I later went home and read articles about certain people that are born with genetic susceptibility to fungal infections. Not saying that is me, but for all he and I know, that could be me too . . . .

I am going to see the pulmonologist still, see what he says next Friday. I don't have high hopes for him either, but we'll see.
