Please do not take the steroids. While they might initially seem to help, they will only encourage more problems. I realize it's a short course, but you have other options.

Do see they pulmonologist. Ask for another sputum test. It can take several tests for the real culprits to grow out in a culture.

Consider looking into an environmental medicine specialist, a functional MD, and a TCM practitioner.
