i have small yellow spots on my sclera which i only just noticed for the first time a little while ago. i cant remember them ever being there before. i went to my doctor today and he cant give me a definitive answer about what they are or the cause of them. he did refer me to a specialist but i cant get in for an appointment for a couple of months. anyway it looks to be a fatty deposit or pingueculum. also my eyeball underneath the lids is rather yellowish. i have heard that fasting can clear up eyes and make them appear whiter (i have done fasts before but never when i have had this problem. as i said it seems to be fairly recent). would a fast (say 30-40 days) also improve a yellowing sclera and fatty deposits on the sclera, if not cure it altogether? im extremely distressed about this, especially as there seems to be no cure for it, other than this one operation that peels off the top layer of the sclera but from what i have found is practiced only in two places in the world, and is too expensive for me. fasting is my one hope. but if it's a false hope i would prefer to know now. if anyone has any information on this, any experience on this, or just any good guess, please let me know what you think. thank you!
