And what would cause the immune system to become tolerant instead of killing the yeast? Metals, killing of beneficial flora via Antibiotics ? I have had problems for probably 6 years already and never took Antibiotics until 3 years ago, and it was only a 3 day dose. I definetely felt crazy candida symptoms after that dose, but don't attribute the overgrowth to it. Is it possible that after so many years of hidden metal toxicity my immune system just couldn't function normally anymore? I am almost free of the metals, but the yeast is still there. When I take the antifungals and stay on diet, I don't even feel die off anymore, but I still can't eat carbs. Is it possible that I have no beneficial flora left and no matter how much I kill the candida, it will come back because the flora isn't there to keep it in check? This is really frustrating. I don't want to keep taking antifungals and staying on this diet for too long if it's pointless. I take 1.6 trillion cfus of 6 strain probiotics right now, but ofcourse as I heard many times before, these won't implant.
