Re: Hyperthyroidism and heart failure

I've been a patient of hyperthyroidism for over 5 years now and the first 6-8 months I wasn't even aware of what was going on. I have been cured either by medication or by keeping a positive attitude a number of times but I keep slipping back into it. During this entire period at least twice I have been off medication for several months at a time. I am 32 and now pregnant and on medication.
At times, the levels have been so low as to bring about palpitations too and though being off medication hasn't killed me, I have realized that the best way to be is to be on medication. An untreated case will only make you feel worse-physically and emotionally- than you do now.
