Re: Hyperthyroidism and heart failure

I have been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism since 1999. I did not want to take medication or RAI treatment.
I did not have the classic symptons. However over the past three months my heart rate and pulse have been
through the roof. i went to an endocrinologist who suggested the RAI treament right away. I have been looking
around for an alternative but I did agree to go on a beta blocker to slow down my heart rate.
I visited a nutritionist once and I have started a detox diet, mostly leafy green vegetables, no sugar,no
white flour, bread, potatoes, pasta, or rice for two weeks, after that I am going back for a blood test. If i see
any improvement in my numbers I will be glad to share the info.
My tsh was below .01, and t4 was 17,my t3 uptake was 39,
If any one has any information on how they are dealing with hyperthyroidism, please share it.thanks
