Re: Why a high protein diet is bad for health
Honestly, I'm on the Bee Wilder diet (based off of the optimal diet from Dr Jan Kwasniewski) right now and barely eat any veggies. I eat about 70% fat 10% carbs 20% protein. Have been doing this for 3 months now, and my digestion has improved dramatically. At one point my body wasn't absorbing anything, and this went on for about 2 weeks. I'm not cured or anything yet but healing takes time.
I had actually spent $3000 on naturopaths and and supplements prior to that and had only gotten worse with my problems. I tried a vegan diet, an alkaline diet, the mccombs plan, fasting, juice fasting. None of that helped me like this meat/fat diet I'm on.
You definitely need to gradually get on the diet though, fats are natural anti-fungals and can give some pretty harsh detox reactions. Plus you risk becoming constipated because your body has most likely become dependant on fiber for bowel movements. Fats do help the bowels move though after time as I get almost 0 grams of fiber and have been regular.
