Diet, supplements, methylation

But, no one has yet to discover a decent treatment protocol!

Yes, diet is important...

But, so are supplements to further kill them.

However, there is no consensus on what kind of diet to follow (brown rice and quinoa and buckwheat ok? Protein powders ok? Some say yes to yogurt/kefir due to the probiotics...others say NO b/c of the sugars. Nuts ok? Some say yes to fermented foods, other say to avoid them b/c they can make issues worse. Some say high protein/fat, low carb, some say raw vegan. No one knows how severely to limit carbs. No one says which carbs feed candida--is it just grains? all carbs?...etc)

And there is no consensus as to what supplements to take to kill them (oxidative therapy like h202 or mms or ozone? VCO? sf722? Interfase? Candex? GSE? Oil of oregano? Olive leaf extract? capryllic acid? Aloe vera? garlic? onion? blah blah blah....)

One thing I'm discovering is that those of us with chronic infections and illnesses (CFS/FMS, anyone?) have issues with METHYLATING! Meaning, we don't produce enough glutathione, cysteine, taurine, methionine, B12, B's etc (the sulfur-based amino acids and methyl-donating compounds). Methylation is vital for immune function, HCl production, detoxification, muscle repair (anyone else here experiencing cachexia, despite eating loads of protein?), tissue repair, enzyme production, synthesizing protein, emotional regulation...and just about every single vital process in the body. When we have defective methylating systems, we are prone to chronic infections, illnesses, metals, etc...and our body starts to break down.

here are some great links to explore:

Very good article on glutathione and some protocols and products.

Glutathione and oxidative stress (MMS probably lowered my glutathione levels even more than before.... great) http://aboutmecfs.org.violet.arvixe.com/Trt/TrtLRTKony.aspx
Have u heard of "NT Factor?" It's supposed to also help with methylation AND leaky gut syndrome and CFS/FMS

Also, info on enterovirus and CFS/FMS:
More on non-polio entervirus. Also causes CFS/FMS, which I have been struggling with for years. I think I might have contracted this in 2008, for I got sick with flu-like illnesses in succession over the course of a 4 month period. Do u think this might be another infection I have?
