Re: SIlverfox and JohnB.....major questions!
Q. *You took Cipro for over a year?! Wow.... if u don't mind me asking, what was the reason for such a long Tx on Cipro?
A. Unfortunately, I've taken much more powerful
Antibiotics than Cipro(and longer) during the early stages of my bone infection.
Q. Also, how did that affect your health and gut flora? Did u develop any dysbiosis?
A. I don't know what dusbiosis is, however, I took several probiotics during the course of my
Antibiotic treatments as prescribed by my doctor. However, other than knowing that they were intended to help with the complications of long term
Antibiotic use, I really didn't know what those particular side effects were specifically.
Q. *What kind of enzymes are u referring to? I currently take Interfase by Klaire Labs. (I also take ReNew Life digestive enzymes and HCl, but those are for digestion).
A. I don't know of the top of my head, though I will look it up and port the information here later on today.
Q *How long would I be on this and what dosage? The lab didn't provide that info, and my Chiro didn't know, since he doesn't work with
Antibiotics . He is the one that wants me to do
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement
A. I have no idea tbh. Though imo. such treatments should only be advised and followed-up by a qualified practitioner.
Q. *I'm having a hard time figuring out if u are pro-MMS or Anti-MMS...Are u against alternative medicine, and if so, why? I'm afraid that the Cipro might make things worse...I was on Vancomycin for a MRSA infection, which I'm still recovering from. I don't want to take that chance with Cipro, but it's hard to know if this is the "magic pill" I'm looking for.
A. Well that's easy, I side with "getting better". :) - And though I don't usually bother with taking sides, I do know that self diagnosis can often lead to trial and error scenario's which may not be the best outcome for you given your condition. Similarly, I also think the best path, is the path of less resistance(fastest solution + least impact). And so I'm leaning toward the known diagnosis and treatment. And so, since Cipro is specific to your infection, and
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement fall in the unknown category, I'd say the
Antibiotic is the likely best choice in this particular case.
Q. Can I do
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement and Cipro?
A. Unfortunately, I can't answer to that. As far as I know, MMS is still very experimental, and so I'd definitely caution against complicating matters by combining treatments if at all possible. Otherwise... you might end-up complicating things and making a diagnosis that much more difficult to carry out.
