I suffer from Menieres Disease (vertigo), not caused by Mirena (surprise surprise) so after dealing with it for over 20 years I have a few tricks if you are ever hit with the vertigo feeling again:
- Avoid all salty food while you are dizzy
- Drink a cup of peppermint tea each hour
- Take a ginger tablet
- Try and sit in a still position not tilting your head until it subsides
I am on a permanent low salt diet, in fact I dont have salt at home apart from a tiny container for guests - I dont add salt to anything. Salt is a major trigger for me with Menieres/vertigo. I especially get an attack when I have been out to a restaurant or eaten take-away :(
