Black spot at gum line I think began after oil pulling
I went to the dentist today for a very back upper left tooth I was catching a lot of food in. He said it was a broken crown and he also discovered I have what he called a 'pimple' just above the gum line of the very back upper Right tooth.
He said he wants to watch it and might biopsy it next week when I am in to have the crown fixed. This of course is concerning me.
I have had way too much 'conventional' dental work over my life. I'm in my fifties and it was not until the last 5+ years I realized how seriously dental work can affect your health. I did know enough to get the
Amalgam out of my mouth but mostly those were replaced with porcelain over the years as they needed to be replaced. Don't know if those replacement materials are healthy either. I'd say most every tooth in my mouth had cavities and I've also had multiple
root canals and crowns. It it weren't for my faith in The Grace of God I've really feel doomed.
I had been oil pulling (1 Tbs organic cold pressed sesame- 20+ minutes) for about 4 days to help with the pain and sensitivity from the food getting packed into that broken crown. I think, but am not at all sure, that this black spot has surfaced since then. 2 1/2 months ago I had my teeth cleaned and this spot was not there then.
Now and for the last 18 months, I've been veggie
juicing about 2-3 days a week, eat a pretty clean, unprocessed, organic, mostly vegetarian, 'gluten free' diet and have been seriously working on my health (via Bible Studies, some supplements, mild daily exercise, water, air, bodywork, environment, trying to get more sleep etc.) I've had good blood work but have suffered Upper Right Quadrant Pain that both conventional and alternative doctors first thought to be gallstones, then ulcer, now perhaps muscular skeletal. I worked on protocols for all of these and have kept up some supplements to improve my mucosal lining. The URQ pain was very bad and it was worse just under my right rib cage. The worst of that pain subsided when I had been Gluten free for two months and had also begun Egoscue Method Body work. I don't know what has worked or what has helped the most but am trying to keep parts of all of those protocols up.
Now something new! This black spot! It is a little smaller than the end of an eraser on my gum line. I don't know if I should stop oil pulling.
--> Could oil pulling have pulled some toxins from gums or from under my tooth? Or should I keep it up or increase it? I regularly use
Dr. Schulze Gum and Tooth Tonic (a few drops on my toothbrush), and Schulze fresh breath + drops, healthy Auromere Herbal toothpaste added using Nature's Answer, PerioRub and Gentle Eco-Dent Floss products since this crown broke 4-7 days ago.
Sorry this is so long.
--> Bottom line I am wondering if anyone has had a black spot like mine surface along their gums? And does anyone know what it might be and how to treat it.
