but now I just feel like food is my enemy - that's how I felt for many years before finding out I had Celiac Disease.

That bad smell after eating garlic means that you have toxins in your body that are being taken out by the sulfur containing amino acids in garlic (and other foods). The sulfur is conjugated with the toxin/pollutant and excreted by the apocrine glands - sweat glands and others. For this smell I would take sweat baths ( Epsom Salts and sometimes with table salt added) and taking thioctic (lipoic) acid. This detox system works in the body fluids and it is possible your liver needs a good detox too. I use H. Clark's Liver Detox Tea and do Liver Flushes which contains milk thistle and other herbs and marshmallow root - good for intestinal function.
