My family is dead.

....are you now beginning all of a sudden to understand something about what you consider "FAMILY"?.

.....what about "LOVE"?...are you willing to understand more about that too and how your capacity for it should be treated as HOLY?

When The Lord spoke about not giving to "dogs", it was a principle. The special/holy things of your heart should be kept "SPECIAL". In other words, don't give your kisses to everyone on the street (because then your little neice that you kiss and hug is not going to feel special anymore).

It was the principle that the things of your heart should always be kept as SPECIAL/HOLY (spiritually meaningful).

What is the most special and precious thing that YOU could give to The Lord?.....If it is "YOUR HEART OF LOVE", then you'd better keep it "SPECIAL"/HOLY.

I repeat, MY WHOLE FAMILY IS DEAD.

When my dad died and my mom remarried, my stepfather wanted me to call him "dad" and "father". I simply flat-out refused, no explanations, excuses, sob stories, or apologies (because he was asking me to betray my dad). Of course it very quickly got around to my mother, and then SHE ASKED ME (same thing, no excuses, no apologies, NOTHING). Now SHE was 'on thin ice' with me (because she was asking me to betray my dad). Their whining and complaining went on for months, and my sister and relatives foolishly got into it also.

One day, I was hanging with my assistant pastor (about 25 years ago). He was in his 60's and I thought he'd be able to understand,....so I said "Can you imagine they wanted me to do that?". SURPRISINGLY, he sided with my mom and stepfather, even my pastor sided with them (but, SO WHAT!).

After some months, I decided to remind my mom something that would make her feel better about this whole thing....I said "and mom, when you die, I'll do the same thing for you". I never heard another complaint from her after that.


That's the kind of heart I give to The Lord.

THE LORD has/owns the 'GOD FAMILY' (are you laying claim to that which is His?).

He gave you a family of your own to grow up with, do you appreciate that family that He gave you?....and how are you going to show Him that you do....by calling EVERYONE "family"? (where's the loyalty and steadfastness in a shallow heart like that?).

God's intention/will is that we have a "HEART OF FLESH" instead of a heart of stone.

Ezekiel 36:26
"A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will take out of your flesh the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh".

...but it's simply a waste of time to pursue and own a "heart of flesh" if it is not one of loyalty and steadfastness.

So what are you going to do now, refreshed?. A heart of flesh is not made with ink and paper (TEXT), it's made with blood and living water (the Godly spirit of the believer).....God's Spirit agrees only with "water and the blood" (3 witnesses, 1 John 5:8).

1 Peter 3:4
"but let it be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable jewel of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious".

God looks at the HEART. It seems like you have a lot of serious thinking to do.

We are not to love others MORE THAN we love ourselves, only AS MUCH (I don't have a need OR DESIRE to show love to myself, so, other people are pretty much plain out of luck if they are hoping for me to give them much more than the time of day.

No formal declaration of "friend" is necessary (why did you think that the formality was necessary?)....spiritually, only be "friend" to GOD....(and don't let me distract you).

James 2:23
"and the scripture was fulfilled which says, "Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness"; and he was called the friend of God".
