James, are you now of the opinion that malic acid dissolves gallstones? And if so, any new studies or data that took you out of the skeptical column? This is exciting news if true.
Not on its own. Malic acid helps with dissolving the calcification of older stones, but not the precipitated cholesterol that makes up the body of the stone. This is why I said that its helps to dissolve them instead of dissolves them. It is like saying protease enzymes will help digest chlorella. Chlorella contains a large percentage of protein, which the enzymes will work on, but the enzymes will not work on the cellulose that makes up most of the remaining chlorella.
