question: did you actually culture positive for yeast? First off- many things can mimic a yeast infection
such as bacterial infections

A long time ago I had this odd clumpy discharge and we thought it was yeast- but when the cultures came back- it was an odd bacterial infection.

Looking under the microscope also isnt 100% accurate
I would go back and ask for a FUNGAL culture as well as a genital culture for bacteria to see what could be going on.
Once you get the results youll know
also have him do a Culture and Sensitivity (C&S) test so they know exactly which anti fungal or anti biotic will work. Diflucan only works on certain strains.
Same with Nystatin.
