I've only just completed my 2nd flush just last week, but you DO need to use the ES, because it opens your biliary (sp?) ducts. The experts could tell you the results you'd get without it. How I've overcome the ES obstacle is I got a pill machine (00 capsule sized) and filled capsules and taken it that way. The only thing is you have to fill 20 capsules to equate one tablespoon of ES, so you're going to have to fill 80 capsules. I would much rather take the capsules than have to ever drink straight ES again! I had no nausea and I didn't have to deal with that nasty a** taste and aftertaste. If there were no way around the ES, I wouldn't have tried flushing a second time. I got the machine from Wilderness Family Naturals in Minnesota (web addresses below). I found them through a google search for the "pill machine." They had the best price on the capsules and the machine and I am a pretty thorough researcher. I used the machine for the first time before my 2nd flush and it was so easy.
