I recently had an appointment with a chronic fatigue specialist who moreorless confirmed my long standing theory that I suffer with adrenal fatigue/exhaustion as a result of YEARS of crippling social anxiety with alternating periods of agoraphobia. He took blood for a DHEA test. This got me thinking about pregnenolone, the 'grandmother of hormones'. Having done some research I came across a number of studies which have shown a direct link between low pregenolone levels and social anxiety. I have ordered it and hope to have it within a week or so. Can anyone who has tried pregnenolone supplementation please reply. I think it is useless trying to treat my adrenal fatigue when an underlying issue like social anxiety ruins my efforts. But then what came first the chicken or the egg? I'm not entirely sure, I think its entirely possible that I may have been born with weak adrenals. Any feedack would be greatly appreciated, especially those who have used pregnenolone specifically for social anxiety. Thank you :)
