Undiagnosed upper right quadrant pain that might surprise you
I have been suffering with undiagnosed upper right quadrant pain (just below my right rib cage) since Aug of 2010 it is now July 2011.
First spent months thinking it was
Gallstones because of an ultrasound finding of an 8mm (1/3”) stone and multiple others. I did a
Dr. Schulze Liver/ Gallbladder flush and another gallstone flush while I was waiting to get in to see a Surgeon. Honest surgeon said no to taking my gallbladder since He said my pain was more chronic than acute. Then my more allopathic Doctor insisted I have a CT scan (took Kyo-Chlorella to protect from the radiation- I hate CT scans- had to many!). Scan was clean except for 3 or 4 small
Gallstones and mild, age appropriate, spine degeneration. Perhaps those flushes helped some. I was then sent to a Gastrointestinal Doc who seemed more interested in getting me to do an endoscopy than working with me on more non invasive tests. He also mentioned costochondritis or ulcer two things that were on my list of possibilities. Not any real help at all! Allopathic Doc suggested a round of Prilosec – I was immediately better. Took that for 12 weeks, but toward the end of the treatment I thought the good effects were wearing off some. At least I felt that an ulcer was the cause of my pain. Over the next 6 months I worked on taking formulas for ulcers and did two more rounds of Prilosec. I did some Chiropractor and Physical Therapist rounds that also had me considering that my pain was a Myofascial and skeletal related problem. Funny how each specialist sees things through their eyes only- only my eyes just see unresolved hurt and I’ve not found relief for long enough periods of time. I am always sore but sometimes have awful pain. Lately, someone referred me to a therapy called Egoscue
http://www.egoscue.com/.
It seems promising if this is really muscular and skeletal. I just keep considering the internal things that might need healing. I have also stopped eating bread-- really trying to avoid wheat and anything with gluten. Been tested for Celiac twice but the blood work came back negative. Perhaps, even if I do not have Celiac Disease, I am gluten sensitive.
I know Prilosec is not healing so I keep seeking healing. I also know ulcers are not fast healing.
Homeopathic Doc had me on the following Nutritional Support for PUD (peptic ulcer disease), Heartburn & Gastritis
DGL –(deglycyrrhizinated licorice)- I’ve used Enzymatic brand chewable tablets yum, yum),
L-Glutamine powder
(I like Lidtke but hate taking this – bet if I get really consistent with this over time it will provide the best healing),
Aloe Vera
(So far I have tried multiple brands: New Chapter, Aloe 200X from Emerson Ecologics, George’s Aloe Vera and Aloe King),
Digestin (a digestive enzyme – would not take before I am sure I am healed –Long Story—I think it was my overdosing with HCL and HCL activator and pepsin that caused my ulcer or damaged my mucosal lining in the first place)
MSM Complex-- I’m using one I had Wellness Resources, Sulfur Plus,
Allergy Research Group Mastica (Chios Gum Mastic)
And a Broad Spectrum Probiotic
(Gee whiz, I’ve not even taken this at all- Still have some Garden of Life, Primal Defense but really want to take VSL #3)
No wonder I’m not better I have so many things to take I don’t keep up with them. It is so hard to pay for all of these remedies since I lost my job last year. Between being in consistent pain and always looking for hope in bottles, doctors and methods that I cannot afford is sad and is probably only making my ulcer worse. I really should be depending on my faith and food nutrition.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.
For Food perhaps I will juice some raw green cabbage and potato and perhaps some ginger and garlic and Manuka Honey (Bio Active 10+) – not all at the same time!
In any case I think I will get more consistent with the L Glutamine and if I can decide on one, a Broad Spectrum Probiotic. Putting this in writing has helped me and I am thankful for curezone to share and learn.
Michael McEvoy, my metabolic nutritional counselor, just emailed that he got the product Mucosa Max mailed off to me today--- Mucosa Max contains N-Acetyl Glucosamine 305 mg., Licorice (DGL) 100 mg., Marshmallow* 85 mg., Cabbage* 85 mg., Berberine Sulfate 70 mg., Slippery Elm* 70 mg., Quercetin 50 mg., Gamma Oryzanol 45 mg., Phosphatidyl Choline 35 mg., Aloe 200 30 mg., Zinc L-Carnosine 25 mg. * Certified Organic
He shipped out to me overnight so I will have it before my trip this weekend. He really is special. Doctors just want to test and drug. I wonder how many of them would personally take the time to run to the post office for me – zip, zero zilch.
Back to the most healing …
Matthew 4:4 4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.’
1 Timothy 4:8 for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.
John 8:32, and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
The Lord Jesus Christ, also said,
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”
