Re: results of my latest dry fast
well I eat mostly a vegetarian diet all the time anyway, I have had a bit of chicken and fish recently, I find chicken makes me feel a lot stronger and gives me well-being, I've only had a bit a couple of weeks ago but maybe that is why I couldn't go for so long this time.
I don't eat a raw food diet like a lot of people, I wish I could but I have quite a stressful job and that makes it hard to maintain my willpower.
I only drink herbal teas. My diet is not perfect but it doesn't seem to cause problems with dry fasting, my kidneys didn't ache this time, I only had the sharp pains of the immune system.
I've read some posts by a fasting mentor on another site where he doesn't recommend dry fasting because it overloads the body with toxins and he says you should only do it if you have already done 500
Water Fasts and only eaten raw foods for 5 years or something, seems way too ridiculous.
Your diet pre-fast will determine to a large extent how long you can go for, so I am going to try and improve my diet as much as possible going forward.
I think the quality of the water you drink beforehand also makes a big difference probably. I need to buy a distiller and see if that helps me to go longer as well.
There's just so much to know about what foods you should and shouldn't eat before a fast.
