Re: results of my latest dry fast

Hi,

I believe that I may have some explanation why you are able to withstand short dry fasts but not long ones.

I realize that, apart from the problem with joints, you mainly suffer from some kidney disease; That is why you decided to dry fasts - to allow your immune system to heal your ailing left kidney.

It is the truth that a dry fast makes our immune system stronger and assists in eliminating diseases. It is also the truth that both liver and kidneys work much harder when the body is in the fasting state.

During a dry fast a liver, the only organ responsible for detoxification, must not only detoxify much bigger than usually amount of toxins released from all over the body but also eliminate all fat - soluble toxins; Kidney, as well as the respiratory system and the skin, are only forced to eliminate all the water - soluble toxins that are also being released during the dry fast in much bigger than usually quantity.

Since your liver is healthy, let us concentrate on the kidneys that are not quite healthy. Can you imagine what is happening to them during a dry fast? If a healthy kidney needs certain amount of water into which it dumps water - soluble toxins and all the substances present in the kidney blood in the extra amount, do you think that it is wise to reduce the amount of water available for the already ill kidney and, simultaneously, to enlarge the number of toxins that are flowing into this unhealthy kidney?

Taxing the unhealthy kidney by refusing to drink water at all but, at the same time, bombarding it with the huge amount of toxin, is nothing else but an act of abuse against the organ that the dry faster tries to heal.

I do not wonder that you hardly survive your dry fasts because each of them creates the state of high toxemia that your body cannot bear. Each dry fast, in your particulate case, releases perfectly the toxic wastes into the blood only; Then the trouble begins - the water soluble toxic molecules circulate in blood for a very long time as the dihydrated and dysfunctional kidney is not able to eliminate them due to both the ill mechanism of elimination and lack of water for the proper dilution of water - soluble toxic molecules.

I believe that an individual with the unhealthy kidney should not perform dry fasts at all or stick to the very short ones. Water Fasts would probably be much better option; However, a juice fast could even serve as the best choice.

Love,
Anne
