This is a hornets nest, opinions on all sides, so here is mine for free;
Iodine intake does two things, first the beneficial thing is that it moves Mercury Salts out of the body that is the increased excretion. The second part is that it mobilizes Hg, Andy Cutler would say that is a bad thing. Since not REAL chelators exist the bond to Hg is temporary and there is a good chance it won't make it out of the system but end up concentrating in worse locations like Brain and Kidneys.
