Re: Anyone else with Adrenal Fatigue / Insomnia experienced chronic tendon problems?
Funny you should mention foot pain. I've been dealing with AF for a couple of years now. First it was high, but it's getting better. I picked up a bottle of African Mango extract to help with appetite as I'm trying to loose an extra 20lbs that I've put on over the last year due to feeling so crappy I didn't get any exercise and going into menopause. I took it for 2 days and woke up with pain on the top of my foot. It felt like I'd sprained it, or sat on it too long. It was bad enough I put an ace bandage on it. I hadn't connected the dots yet so I kept taking the African Mango. I then developed pain in the other foot and began to feel like I'd caught the flu (no fever) utter lethargy. I took some isocort and the pain in my foot went away. I continued the isocort for a few days and I began to feel better day by day. I stopped taking the African Mango.
I think your foot pain is due to low cortisol. Are you taking any licorice at all? A trial course might be helpful to figure things out. If it helps you feel a bit better and ease the pain, then you might need something stronger for your adrenals than what you are taking. A 24hr cortisol saliva test will determine just how bad your adrenals are.
But from what I've read about other's symptoms who finally went on hydrocortisone, pain in the feet is a common symptom. But, like I said above, a 24hr cortisol saliva test is really needed first.
