Quick Background, I am 28, used to be very athletic, never injured or broke bone whole life. Then I started working doing very stressful job (financial/accounting) consuming large amounts of caffeine, was on a high sugar, zero salt diet for years. Started smoking, terrible nutrition, etc. After basically having a breakdown about a year ago and down to 130
pounds (I'm 5'11), I quit my job.
I have had very bad insomnia for the last year and refuse to take sleeping medication as I am trying to get my body back to normal. I developed a foot problem and have not been able to do any cardio or even walk more than around my house for the last 6 months now. I saw a naturopath and have been on diet and taking all the vitamins to support adrenals, reduce inflamation, help sleep, and cleanse digestive track. However, my sleep has not gotten much better and I know have all of the following conditions that I believe is caused from tendons just not healing at all.
-Foot = Tendonitis and metatarsalgia (swelling of tissues)
-Knee = Knee pain that I believe is also tendonitis
-Back = Herniated Disc, but most pain is coming from ligament swelling and inflamation
My Question is: Has anyone with adrenal fatigue AND/OR Chronic Insomnia ever had major tendon/ligament healing/pain problems? I don't exercise besides a few strecthes for physical therapy, and would think these conditions should go away after a few weeks, not half a year. I am almost bed-ridden. Please advise!
