Re: some thoughts on our condition

FunStuff,

I have re-read your post and there things in it that I have difficulty with. You write 'biopsies do not cover all types of bacteria/fungi' but biopsy would not be a usual method of diagnosing an infective condition or indentifying a bacteria or fungus. That would be by culture and I agree that culture might not grow everything. Now you can often see fungi in biopsies if you look carefully for them but fungi are common in the mouth but they are not necessarily of any significance. They can also colonise tissue which is already diseased so the presence of fungi might be a secondary phenomenon.

By the way - do you know of people that have had biopsies for this?

Anti-fungal creams might have helped people but unless one compares application of cream with and without the active anti-fungal ingredient one does not know what it was that caused the improvement.
