Re: Breast Pain

Sweetie, it hasn't been that long! It's only been a few months...and how long did it take you to get into this state? Years, yes? You can't expect to reverse a long-standing condition in such a short period of time...

For pain relief, try castor oil packs:

http://www.annieappleseedproject.org/evfortoapofc.html

"The topical application of castor oil has been shown to reduce the pain of neurogenic inflammation"

and also, take turmeric, or the active constituent of turmeric, curcumin. Do a search on it, there's a ton of info on that out there. I don't recall using it specifically for breast pain, but it's a great natural anti-inflammatory that is GOOD for your liver.

If I were you, I would pause supplementation for a few days, and then start back up at a lower dose. It sounds as though you are at a level of detox that you are just not ready for. I kept my dose relatively low(50mg) for the duration, and it worked. I don't know that I would have been cured faster with a larger dose...

BTW, the pain IS a good thing. I do NOT live in your body though, it sounds as though you're suffering quite a bit.

If you feel as though you need to get checked, then by all means do so. Just arm yourself with information before you go in. And at least you will have a marker of sorts. What if you are also diagnosed with lobular carcinoma in situ? Will you let that "carcinoma" that is not really a cancer scare you into a mastectomy? From what I've read, that form of "pre-cancer" is NOT commonly treated with a mastectomy. It's MONITORED. Why exactly is she getting a double mastectomy? She's just exchanging one set of problems for another, and her current problems can be treated naturally.

It's not going to be easy for you, the pressure from your sister is going to be really hard to deal with. Keep in mind too that she wants validation that she is choosing the correct route and what better way to get that validation than by having you do the same?

It's just human nature to want that validation.

Ask her if she has researched the side effects of a mastectomy and reconstruction. She will not be eradicating the pain from her life, the pain will merely change it's form.

I do NOT envy your current situation. I know that you want to get better quickly so that maybe you'll have a chance to convince her rather than vice-versa, and right now you're feeling more miserable than before you started...
