"Why would Bill Gates want to depopulate the earth."

What he is suggesting in the video from the TED website, seems to be birth control, and improving living standards for people, which he believes will lead to a drop in the birth rate.

Conspiracy theorists try to paint Bill Gates as some sort of evil person, because it suits their beliefs to do so, however much the facts do not fit that view.

To believe that Bill Gates wants to depopulate the earth, you would also need to believe in the NWO Conspiracy theory, among others. On this website, it may appear that this is the majority view, and it well may be, (on this website), but it is not the view in wider society, (from my observation).

As arable land, fresh water, and natural resources become more scarce, there will be a pressing need to limit population growth, but that is a very complex argument, with a lot of variables to take into account, and probably not for this forum.
