Re: concerned about iodine

***I have not been diagnosed with low Iodine absorption, though my intake before loading was near nothing.

Did you do a loading test for Iodine?
I am not sure if that is what you are implying here.....

if your loading test was close to 90% excretion and you were not taking any Iodine you can be 99% sure you have an Iodine transport problem
which can be corrected by taking 3g or more vita c/day and/or
B2B3 at the right amounts per ATP Cofactors supplement

someone your age who has adrenal problems ande candida also need to consider mercury or other heavy metal problems

directlabs.com
Hair elements test
about $90
have to read it according to Andy Cutler counting rules
do you have silver colored fillings in your mouth?
did you get vaccinations?
those are the most obvious exposure sources, there are others.

50mg of Iodoral should be fine.
a lot of us here take more than that.

the companion nutrients are essential.
200mcg selenomethione
400-800mg Magnesium, many here prefer malate or citrate forms
>= 3g vitamin C

Bcomplex is a good idea, but you should be taking that already with low adrenals

others to consider too

great you are here.
keep reading and asking questions.
Read the iodine answers section
