Re: Baking soda in water...Good idea? I feel sick...

If you are using alkalinity to battle arthritis, you have to make sure you don't have misdiagnoses. Lyme disease is very commonly missed in arthralgic conditions. Lyme toxins, per Townsend Letter, are highly alkaline and raising alkalinity can make you feel worse.

There are many practitioners around the world that swear by baking soda for things like Lupus, Firbromyalgia. There are countless testimonials for and against.

I personally do not like to use baking soda in consistent manor because of many reasons. Hvgathi has espoused some concerns already.

I will say this. If you are going to using baking soda.

Take it with food and after you eat. It will neutralize stomach acid but then your stomach secretes more.

Do not chug your baking soda and do not use more than 1/2 teaspoon per cup.

If you have yeast toxins or lyme toxins,....they do cause brain inflamation according to some natural MD's. Therefore if you have brain fog from this inflammation, it can make your brain fog worse.

If you have Arthritis too, I would strongly recommend viral titers be drawn,...there is no harm in testing.

Test for retro virus, Epstein barr, cytomegalo virus, and possibly entero virus.

A good quality viral screen, lyme screen can point you in a specific direction. If all comes out negative you may want to repeat the lyme screening in 6 months just to be sure.

If you are suffering from arthritis, as do i, I can share with you what I am doing to stay completely pain free.

Generally, in this forum, everyone feels a need to know everything and butt in on just about every single posting.

But it does make sense to know exactly what you are dealing with and what you are not dealing with. It is important to understand the kinetics and mechanisms so you dont under dose, use redundant products, and miss those you do need.

Everyone wants to treat you here with something. However, especially with inflamatory diseases, i would not recommend a thing until you rule out infectious diseases.

If you think you have intestinal parasites, those need to be tested for and treated as well.

Take care!

Bret
