The plant toxins are disabled through cooking them, and as for cabbage, I believe fermentation resolves that problem as well.
I know I have thyroid problems now, and yet I've been craving broccoli since December. It's a shame I can't really eat it yet or I would. I'd probably mix cooked and raw broccoli in my diet.
I wonder if there is anything in specific that'll bind with these plant toxins directly.
Ultimately, I think a varied diet would make some of these plant toxins almost irrelevant. It could also be a situation like raw eggs, where the egg white has avidin in it, but the yolk has plenty of biotin to compensate. Or apples, with the cyanide seeds. The seeds are supposedly ok to eat if you eat the entire apple. I used to eat whole apples and raw eggs before hypoglycemia.
