Magnesium malate would be my first choice followed by magnesium citrate at a recommended dose of 300-400mg 2-3 times daily. It is best to start out with smaller doses and gradually increase to allow the body to become accustomed to the dosing to reduce the risk of diarrhea. Also keep in mind that magnesium lowers blood pressure again by acting as a natural calcium channel blocker.
