Re: schizophrenia disorder

My brother and a friend at work have both had these lumps... and have to have them surgically removed routinely. The friend gets so many of them, she gets more than 20 removed at any one time under GA. Its a terrible thing. Both do not have schiz, just for the record.

Regarding the schiz, my poor sister has it and another friend has it. I've often wondered what causes it. There are so many theories out there but I sense it is hormonal imbalance because the second most often first time occurance of psychosis is at menopause due to hormonal chances, and ofcourse the first most common first psychosis episode is the ages 18 -25 again when there are hormonal surgers.

Hvergarthi in the Truth in Medicine forum is a good suggestion.

The most unfortunate thing about these psych meds is that they slow down the gasto intestinal system to such a large degree that people taking them often end up with gasto intestinal sluggishness and congestion. I suppose he wouldn't be up for a bowel cleanse?

Its very tricky and very difficult supporting someone with schizoprhenia. I really feel for you. All the best and hope you get some good answers here.
