I too have had the exact same problem !!!!!!
I am trying to warn the general public about this (and some of you may be able to help me with ideas). I have religiously been following the wisdom of Dom's Kefir website based in Australia - he is hailed as the God of kefir making. This man has inspired me for over 6 years and I have been making kefir for about that long. As a Christmas gift my parents placed an order with Dom, sent the money to him via Internet banking and no order came. 4 mths later - still no package in the mail and communication was entirely halted despite several e-mail attempts to find out what was going on. I am warning everyone out there looking to buy kefir grains or supplies from internet businesses. I was scammed by someone I felt was beyond trustworthy. PLEASE know who you are buying from and make sure there are legalities in place to protect your purchases as much as possible so you are not left high and dry. Good luck. Tweet
