Staph Infection? Warning on overzealous mite killing!
Okay, so I got a little 'overzealous' with the mite-killing.
Got a mini boil/staph infection on my face (or at least, that's what I'm guessing it is/was). Thankfully, it's on it's way out, but it scared the jeepers out of me since I had a staph infection on my face right after I quit smoking and had to take major
Antibiotics that screwed up my entire being for a couple of months. I have more of these anti-b's on-hand just in case, but I DID NOT want to have to take them.
Just a warning to everyone out there who are trying to kill their mites:
I think that if we try to kill them off too quickly, you may wind up with a staph infection. I know--from experience--how much you want these things gone, but don't overdo it. Please take your time and don't over load your face (or body) with too many/too strong mite-killing products.
Your skin needs time to get rid of all the dead mites. Please take your time and let your body purge the mites at its own pace.
It could be that I would have gotten the nasty boil anyway, but I know that I was going crazy with the tea tree, coconut oil, ponds, etc, etc...my guess is that I overdid it.
ALSO, I would strongly recommend to those that are killing their mites to be sure that you are supporting your immune system prior to the eradication. Thankfully, my immune system is strong and I was able to fend off any worse infection (and I pray that this continues to be the case), but to those with compromised immune systems, please take care.
