We never saw them again but I often think of her. After talking to her I learned that he did eat a bunch of mice - he caught himself - from her barn, probably a lot of baby birds in the spring, and rabbits in the summer - etc.

And of course, her water was from a spring-fed well. (Back then I knew enough that it was NOT chlorinated) - and now we all know how bad fluoride is, as well...

What a beautiful dog he was. I grew up with German shepherds. And my beloved uncle always had a hunting dog - like you had.

I'm sure you still miss him. We love our fur-kids.

I've often wondered here LATELY how much Iodine the wild carnivores in this country get with their feedings.
