Went to the doctor... Frustrated!
I went to the doctor after finding
Tapeworm segments in my stool. I had been taking Parastroy and CoQ10 because of my symptoms, I lost 20 lbs in 5 months, fatigue, dry hair, dry skin, peeling lips, feeling things crawling on my face and feet, burning in stomach, etc. I did an enema and a bunch of red things (I figured out later they were flukes) and
Tapeworm segments came out. I found segments in my bed the next morning and a rather large bright red fluke. I put them in a baggie and took them to the doctor. I showed him the baggie of "show and tell" and he just said he didn't know what those are. My husband had cats (who had tapeworm) and when we separated and he took the cats with him, my house was severely infested with fleas. I think I must have swallowed one or somehow caught them from the cats before they left. They slept at my feet. The vet said that swallowing fleas is how they contracted them. My doctor tried to tell me that cat's don't get tapeworm, they get roundworm and that you can't catch worms from fleas. I told him, I knew what the segments were that I brought in because I had seen them in the cats and he basically just brushed me off. I have been so sick. He did send the segments and fluke off to be tested. The fluke had pretty much shriveled up by the time we got there. He said it looked like bacon. I found some segments in my son's stool also. He has been so tired and we couldn't figure out why. My doctor reluctantly prescribed Vermox which is for roundworm and pinworm(only 3 days worth). I took my first two doses yesterday and have felt the worms moving and biting me all over.It is awful. I don't know if they are dying or just mad? I had what I thought was a weird looking mole on my leg and it has shrunk to half the size in one day since I started the Vermox. Will Vermox kill tapeworm? Is 3 days enough? I don't know what to do. I felt biting in my scalp, could they get to my brain? I did pass some sort of worms yesterday, but they weren't tapeworm. How many
parasites can a person have?
