Re: VIT D test results help appreciated
Your Vitamin D serum level is 21-- in the tank. I'll bet you get EVERY cold that comes your way and I'll bet it takes you a week or two minimum to throw it off. That was me 4 years ago. Current advice from the Vitamin D council (http://www.vitamindcouncil.org) is that optimal level is around 70-80 ng/ml, higher if you are dealing with things like cancer or autism.
When I first got my levels tested around 3-4 years ago it was 12 ng/ml. I took 20,000iu D3 daily for 3 months and got myself retested. I was then at 54 ng/ml. I took D3 in sublingual, oil gel cap and in capsule, I don't think the form matters. If you take enough D3 (more than 5,000iu -- ideally around 10,000iu) you will get your levels up. If you take the amount did (20,000iu) be sure to get retested in 3 months.
Bio Tech has a D3 in 50,000iu (you'd only have to take 3 a week).

It's also pretty easy to find D3 in 10,000iu, these days.
You can also take it in the form of Cod Liver oil.
