Day 1 - 30 Day Juice & Water Fast Combination

I am 5'9 and 284
lbs. I would like to drop at least 30 real
pounds using fasting, and then see if I can doing fasts every other month until I am down to 200. I am a novice to fasting, having only done
The Master Cleanse a few times, and that was not with the intention of losing weight.
This time around I am
juicing in the morning and planning to drink water throughout the day when I feel thirsty. I heard that drinking water to thirst is the best way to not deplete my body's sodium.
My questions are:
1. What kind of real weight loss can I expect daily with a combination juice/water fast.
2. What techniques work to fight temptations?
3. Can I continue to take my multivitamins?
4. What should I expect to feel versus what is a sign that something is going wrong?
5. How do you deal with friends and family concerned that your actions are drastic? or that you are becoming anorexic?
