I can't walk in your shoes but I was (still currently) in a similar situation. I was so sick with chronic fatigue, vaccine poisoning, and heavy metal poisoning, I really thought I was going to die, but being active duty military at the time so I had no choice but to keep quiet, and keep going.
When I retired from active duty I only "rested" about one month before looking for work again. I was afraid I would become unemployable if I stayed out of the job market too long. Five years on, I'm healthy enough to function (almost) normally and have a decent job but it was extremely difficult at times.
If you keep your business going you will probably be better able to better afford supplementation and treatments. And you won't have to explain to future employers, bankers etc. why you were out of business and the job market. Even with the number of people getting sick today I see an incredible amount of denial about it. It's far easier to get well first, then tell your story.
